Are You Good to Go?

Presentation for Community Groups

Compassion & Choices ( is the nation’s largest nonprofit organization devoted exclusively to the full scope of end-of-life issues. As our logo tagline states, we focus on providing individuals and the healthcare industry with support, education and advocacy relating to choice and care at the end of life.

The Georgia Chapter has an ongoing a public education campaign, the centerpiece of which is a 30-minute PPT presentation, followed by a 15 to 20-minute Q&A session.

Titled Are You Good to Go?, our free presentation briefly describes the state of end-of-life healthcare today, then provides practical and critical information that will help ensure an individual’s end-of-life choices – whatever they may be – will be followed. We do not advocate any specific choice; we simply present the options every Georgian can accept or decline.

We also provide each attendee with a copy of Georgia’s current Advance Directive, the key legal document for stating individual end-of-life choices. In every presentation we’ve given, there has been a lively and helpful Q&A session that ends the program.

We’ve found Are You Good to Go? is best suited for 20 – 50 attendees.
